Part One 1.Topic: A Comparative Study of the Implementation of Elementary Student’s Awareness on Sexual Abuse in Canada and the USA Premise: Cases of sexual abuse are growing in number. What are the measures conducted both in Canada and the USA to at least decrease (if not eradicate) the incidence of sexual harassment. The study will show if Canada, which patterns its educational system in the USA, still follows the non-academic areas of teaching particularly the issue on sexual harassment. 2.Topic: Inclusion of Sexual Abuse Education in Elementary School: Boon or Bane? Premise: Children are young enough to be exposed to sexual abuse education. However, due to the escalation of sexual abuse cases, isn’t it the opportune time for the students to be aware of this harrowing reality that confronts the community where they live? Would the sexual abuse education bring good or negative effects on the way of thinking of the children? 3.Topic: What are the emotional, mental and physical aftermaths if the sexual abuse education will be implemented on the elementary education? Premise: How would the children respond to the “new subject” which their teachers will teach them? The study will include surveys and scientific studies conducted in line with sexual abuse education on children. What future awaits the children if they’ll be exposed to this? How would their perspectives in life be affected with this kind of education? 4.Topic: Wanted Teachers: Sexual Abuse Education on Children Premise: The wide scope of this study is focused on the extent of the education to be taught. Should the children be already exposed to critical issues on sexual harassment? What are the approaches the teachers ought to practice? How would they relay to the students the act of the abuse? 5.Topic: The Role of Broadcast Media in the Teaching of Sexual Abuse Education to Grade School Children Premise: Apart from school, children are exposed to the influential broadcast media. Is the broadcast media helping the children’s awareness on sexual abuse or is it negatively affecting the children’s view on this matter? The study will include interviews from personalities from the broadcast media and some experts on this matter.
