Impact of Price Fluctuation on the Performances of Cooperative societies in Kilimanjaro Region
Introduction
This research proposal discusses the impact of price fluctuation on the performance of cooperative societies in Kilimanjaro Region. Specifically, the proposal aims to evaluate causes and effects of the changes in prices on the performance of cooperative societies in Kilimanjaro Region. In this research proposal, the purpose, context and theme of the study are presented; the objectives of the study and the research statements are formulated. Here, vital concepts, questions and assumptions are stated. Finally, the scope and limitation of the study, methodology to be used and the significance of the research are discussed.
Purpose of the Study
In general, the purpose of the research is to discuss the impact of price fluctuation on the performance of cooperative societies in Kilimanjaro Region. The research will specifically find out the benefits and drawbacks of price fluctuations to the development of business. This proposed study will detail the current theories and practices of cooperative societies and the challenges and opportunities it poses to the Kilimanjaro Region. The analysis will be framed within a business setting.
Significance of the Study
This work will be a significant endeavor in lobbying among authorities, the urgent need to assess the current impact of price fluctuation on the performance of cooperative societies in Kilimanjaro Region. The author believes price fluctuation plays crucial role in the development of organizations.
Scope of the Study
This research will only discuss issues involving impact of price fluctuation on the performance of cooperative societies in Kilimanjaro Region. Other areas in Tanzania with similar experience will be discussed briefly. The outcome of this study will be limited only to the data gathered from books and journals. As this study is specific to Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania, a similar study on other underdeveloped countries is further suggested.
Methodology
This study will employ the descriptive research method using observation. In this method, it is possible that the study would be cheap and quick. Nonetheless, it would be very hard to rule out alternative explanations and especially infer causations. Descriptive research is a type of research that is primarily concerned with describing the nature or conditions and degree in detail of the present situation (Creswell, 1994). The emphasis in this type of research is to describe rather than to judge or to interpret.
The data will come from published articles from journals, books and studies on Uganda’s drainage system, its current situation, and the importance of better drainage system. For this research design, the author will gather data, collate published studies and make a content analysis of the collected documentary and verbal material. Afterwards, the author will summarize all the information, make a conclusion provide insightful recommendations on the dealing with Uganda’s drainage system.
This study will employ qualitative research to analyse qualitative elements that do not have standard measures such as behavior, attitudes, opinions, and beliefs. Furthermore qualitative research is multimethod in focus, involving an interpretative, naturalistic approach to its subject matter.
Overview of the Study
This research will use the descriptive approach. It will be divided in five chapters. The first chapter discusses the background of the study and the nature of the problem. The second chapter provides a review of related literature, followed by a chapter that discusses the methodology that will be used. The fourth chapter presents the findings based on the collated materials. The last chapter concludes the study by summarizing findings and providing recommendations.
