The subject article tells the readers the effects of marriage that is considered as greedy. The implication of a greedy marriage means that the social relationship present outside the marriage is likely to suffer from the aloofness of the parties within the marriage.
The authors give a significant introduction by using number of theoretical principles from several references. The introduction is important as it lays down the necessity or marriage. Furthermore, although the stand of the author is on the contrary of its introduction, the presentation of such facts gives the readers an encompassing importance of marriage.
On their stand, the authors used 2 national surveys, which are the 1992-94 National Survey of Families and Households and the 2004 General Social Survey. The surveys were utilized in order to compare the ties of married couples to their external social relationships. The findings that both surveys have found out gave the stand of the author a probative value.
The conclusion fell short because it has become much open ended. It is necessary that conclusions regarding the subject matter, which is against the general concept of marriage, must be given a strong conclusion, which will pose a significant influence to the readers.
