Conclusion

At the beginning of information technology era, tourism is decisively recognized as the top industry in several countries and the fastest-growing business area in terms of foreign exchange earnings and job establishment. Based on research, Keller, P. (1996) believes that international tourism is the world’s largest export earner and an important factor in the balance of payments of most nations. Actually, tourism development always conforms to the development of hotels in tourist spots. In this regard a well-known establishment Hong Kong Disneyland has opened last year, and there was an optimistic forecast of business in this theme park. Although there are some hotels nearby in Lantau Island, it was still not enough to satisfy the demand of tourists. So now a deluxe hotel in Lantau Island decided to expand by building one more tower that possibly creates job opportunities and employments.

In addition, this research proposal argued that tourism has turn into one of the world’s most significant source of employment. Actually, it encourages massive venture in infrastructure, most of which also helps to improve the quality of living of local people. It also offers governments with extensive tax revenues. With regards to employment, this research employs several approaches to critically evaluate the problems and potential of a deluxe hotel in Lantau. To determine the possible problems and potentials of a deluxe hotel in Lantau, assessments regarding hotel expansion, employee needs and payroll issues were initiated. The method of assessments includes Forecasting Personnel and Payroll Estimation Methods.
